Accountant – Full‑time, Erbil

About the role

Protech Iraq is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its team in Erbil on a full‑time, on‑site basis. The role involves managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting decision‑making through financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records and ledgers.
• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local regulations.
• Produce financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Reconcile accounts and monitor budget performance.
• Provide analysis and actionable insights for management.
• Ensure all financial operations meet regulatory and company standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Previous experience in corporate or enterprise accounting (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
• Account reconciliation, ledger management and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with accounting software and related tools.
