About the role

The American University of Iraq – Baghdad is looking for a motivated Teaching Assistant to support faculty and dental students in the College of Dentistry. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality clinical and laboratory education, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist faculty in clinical and laboratory teaching sessions.
• Support students during simulation, pre‑clinical, and clinical practice.
• Prepare equipment, materials, and workstations for each teaching session.
• Maintain infection‑control standards and clinical safety protocols.
• Contribute to the academic and operational activities of the College.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in general dentistry with the ability to guide students.
• Strong interest in mentoring undergraduate dental students.
• Clear, professional communication with students, faculty, and staff.
• Organizational ability to manage materials and workflow.
• Professional integrity, teamwork, and adaptability.

Required skills
