Medical Representative

About the role

As a Medical Representative for Novo Nordisk’s Diabetes, Obesity and Rare Disease portfolio, you will act as the key link between our life‑changing therapies and the healthcare professionals who prescribe them across Baghdad. Reporting to the District Sales Manager, you will combine strategic planning with relationship building to expand patient access to innovative treatments.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell Novo Nordisk’s diabetes, obesity and rare disease products to physicians, pharmacists and other healthcare providers.
• Develop and execute territory plans that meet or exceed sales targets.
• Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with key decision‑makers in the assigned territory.
• Stay up‑to‑date with clinical developments and market trends, providing feedback to internal teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of sales initiatives.
• Travel regularly across Baghdad to meet healthcare professionals and conduct product presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences.
• Active registration with the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate (mandatory).
• 1‑2 years of experience as a pharmaceutical sales representative.
• Strong knowledge of the diabetes and obesity market and its competitive landscape.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and work independently.
