School Nurse – Full‑time On‑site Position

About the role

The School Nurse will work full‑time on‑site in Erbil, providing comprehensive health services to students and contributing to a safe school environment. This role involves assessing and treating minor illnesses, managing chronic conditions, and delivering health education.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and follow up on student health concerns, including minor injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions according to established protocols.
• Conduct health screenings, maintain accurate health records, and monitor communicable diseases.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and external health providers to support student well‑being.
• Promote health education and ensure compliance with school health policies and procedures.
• Respond calmly and effectively to health emergencies and urgent situations.

Required profile

• Strong clinical background in nursing and medicine with experience in pediatrics.
• Specialized training or experience in school nursing and familiarity with school health policies.
• Current nursing license or equivalent authorization to practice.
• Relevant certifications in first aid, CPR, and emergency response.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Professionalism, ethical practice, and respect for student confidentiality.
