Formulation Specialist / Formulation Supervisor

About the role

Alalamyah Pharma is looking for an experienced Formulation Specialist / Supervisor to lead sterile and non‑sterile pharmaceutical formulation projects within its R&D department in Baghdad. The role combines hands‑on development, documentation oversight, and cross‑functional coordination to bring products from concept to commercial launch.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve product documentation (PDR, MFR, MPR, BMR) in partnership with QA.
• Lead formulation development, prioritize projects, and select final formulas and packaging.
• Coach the formulation team, monitor experimental data, and manage instrument logbooks.
• Coordinate scale‑up, pilot batches, technology transfer, and validation for first commercial batches.
• Ensure all documentation complies with ALCOA+ standards and close gaps promptly.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and define monthly/annual R&D plans and KPIs.
• Drive risk management (CQA/CPP), analytical method transfer, and stability program design.
• Lead readiness for internal and external audits and act as primary R&D liaison with QA, QC, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Regulatory.

Required profile

• 6‑11 years of pharmaceutical R&D experience.
• Proven expertise in both sterile and non‑sterile dosage form development.
• Strong knowledge of documentation standards, ALCOA+, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage cross‑functional teams and drive projects to commercial launch.
