ESP Field Specialist – Artificial Lift

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' Artificial Lift team as an ESP Field Specialist, providing on‑site technical support for electrical submersible pump (ESP) systems in onshore oil and water wells. You will work directly with customers to ensure reliable, efficient operation of their ESP equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, pull, and commission ESPs and associated downhole equipment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and test ESP systems to maximize well productivity and pump life.
• Lead field service crews, ensuring safe and successful customer outcomes.
• Handle special projects and adhere to HSE, legal, and company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in artificial lift and ESP operations.
• Proven crew‑leader experience.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical abilities for ESP problem resolution.
• Excellent customer focus and communication skills.

Required skills

• Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) installation and pulling.
• Variable Speed Drive (VSD) operation and maintenance.
• Downhole equipment troubleshooting.
• Mechanical or electrical background.
