Legal Migration Advisor (Part‑time)

About the role

Seefar seeks a Legal Migration Advisor to provide specialist advice to youth with strong prospects of obtaining work or study visas abroad. The part‑time, deliverables‑based role runs from October 2026 to March 2027 and may convert to full‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a legal advisory training curriculum, including interviews and focus groups.
• Build rapport with 15‑30 screened candidates, create tailored engagement plans, and support their visa applications.
• Provide 1‑on‑1 advisory sessions, monitor progress, and give regular feedback to improve the service.
• Test candidates’ willingness to pay for long‑term service sustainability (no actual charge).
• Deliver guidance on labour migration, investment routes, student visas, scholarships, family reunion and other legal pathways, both online and in person.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in advisory or counselling roles addressing psychological, social and practical barriers.
• University‑level qualification in law, social studies, humanities or related field.
• Knowledge of work and study visa processes.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; other Iraqi languages a plus.
• Based in Federal Iraq (preferably Baghdad or Basra); exceptional cases in KRI may be considered.
• Demonstrated empathy, emotional intelligence and passion for helping youth achieve their dreams.

What we offer

• GBP 900 per month (≈ USD 1,200) for up to 20 hours/week, with a caseload of 8‑10 candidates.
• Bonus of GBP 90 for each successful application, up to a maximum of GBP 900.
