Junior Project Officer – Migration Governance

About the role

The Junior Project Officer will support the SI-COM II project, which aims to strengthen migration governance in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. Working under the SI-COM II Project Manager, the officer will help coordinate stakeholders, manage project administration, and ensure that human rights, gender equality, protection and inclusion principles are integrated into all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of project activities related to Migrant Resource Centres, digital migration management and border governance.
• Coordinate with government bodies, NGOs and other partners to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support monitoring, data collection and reporting on project progress.
• Help integrate human‑rights, gender‑equality, protection and inclusion considerations into project deliverables.
• Maintain project documentation and administrative records.

Required profile

• Experience in migration management, institutional capacity development or development cooperation is desirable.
• Background in project administration, stakeholder coordination, monitoring and reporting is an asset.
• Fluency in English and Kurdish is required; knowledge of additional Iraqi languages or dialects is a plus.
