Supply Chain Associate – Procurement and Logistics

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to support procurement and logistics operations in Erbil, Iraq. Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Assistant – Logistics, the role contributes to the efficient acquisition, movement and management of goods and services that enable IOM’s migration programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct local and international procurement in compliance with IOM policies, GoI laws and VAT regulations.
• Coordinate clearing and forwarding activities, ensuring timely customs clearance.
• Manage fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance and insurance administration.
• Oversee inventory and stock levels, maintaining accurate supply records.
• Support contract administration and supplier performance monitoring.

Required profile

• University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics or related field with at least three years of relevant experience, or high school diploma with five years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience in procurement, clearing & forwarding, fleet and insurance management, and inventory control.
• Previous work with an international organization or NGO in a procurement function.
• Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic (both oral and written).

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement processes and supply‑chain best practices.
• Understanding of local customs, VAT and GoI regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage inventory systems and fleet logistics.
