Student Supervisor

About the role

The Student Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a disciplined, safe, and orderly learning environment at CADMUS® International School, Al Basra. The role involves supervising student movement, enforcing school rules, and supporting teachers and parents to promote a positive school culture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct corridor, bathroom, and classroom checks before the start of the school day to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Coordinate student line‑up before, during, and after recess with SLO prefects to maintain order.
• Manage transition times between classes to minimise wasted time.
• Mentor students on the importance of discipline and a safe learning environment.
• Maintain a quiet atmosphere when students re‑enter classrooms after breaks.
• Ensure students are present in class promptly before lessons and after recess.
• Motivate students to work hard during class time.
• Enter accurate data into the SABIS School Management System (SSMS/SIS), including attendance, infractions, and teacher reports.
• Contact and follow up with parents regarding absences or disciplinary matters.
• Observe classes to verify a calm learning environment.
• Prevent bullying and fighting, and inform students of disciplinary actions.
• Accompany students to the bus area after school and verify correct bus allocation.
• Prepare daily reports on teacher observations, student infractions, and complaints.
• Assist with exam hall supervision and enforce safety rules during activities.
• Attend weekly meetings and training sessions to discuss student behavior concerns.
• Promote the Student Life Code of Honor throughout the school.

Required profile

• Strong ability to enforce school discipline and safety policies.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, teachers, prefects, and parents.
• Organised and detail‑oriented, capable of accurate data entry and reporting.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative during behavioral incidents.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with school staff and attend regular training sessions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the SABIS School Management System (SSMS/SIS) for attendance, infractions, and reporting.
