Risk Coordinator

About the role

KBR is seeking a Risk Coordinator to join its Sustainable Technology Solutions team in Basra, Iraq. The role supports project risk management and schedule integration for the CSSP Project, ensuring reliable information for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an effective Project Risk Management process and coordinate risk mitigation activities.
• Align interface schedules and milestones across the CSSP Project and integrate WIP and Pipeline schedules.
• Track execution progress from the field and provide accurate data for project decisions.
• Serve as backup to the Planning Engineer, supporting schedule development, forecasting, and baseline control.
• Challenge contractor schedules, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies through analytical review and field verification.
• Facilitate risk workshops and coordinate mitigation actions with risk owners and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• 7‑10 years of experience in Project Controls, Construction Planning, Risk Management or Project Execution on major Oil & Gas, Energy, Infrastructure or EPC projects.
• Extensive field construction experience, including site execution, construction sequencing, workfront planning and contractor performance monitoring.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining Project Risk Registers, risk assessments and mitigation plans.
• Demonstrated ability to manage schedule integration and interface coordination across multiple contractors and project packages.
