Reconciliation and Settlement Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Reconciliation and Settlement Officer to join our finance team at ZainCash Iraq. The role ensures the accuracy and integrity of all card‑based transactions and supports the company’s fast‑growing mobile wallet ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of all transaction data, guaranteeing completeness and consistency across systems and reports.
• Monitor transaction flows to detect abnormal behaviours, discrepancies or irregular patterns.
• Investigate anomalies, determine root causes, and document findings with clear reports.
• Prepare detailed reconciliation reports highlighting variances, issues and overall transaction performance.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive records of reconciliation activities for audit and compliance purposes.
• Continuously review and improve reconciliation processes to boost efficiency, accuracy and risk control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to handle large data volumes and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Very good command of English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP and data‑analysis functions.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of card transaction flows and settlement processes.
