Quality Control Professional – Balad (USN)

About the role

The Quality Control Professional will support the Navigational Aids (NAVAIDS) Maintenance & Repair Support project in Balad, Iraq. This full‑time position ensures safe, efficient, and compliant 24/7 aviation operations in a deployed environment, overseeing quality for mission‑critical airfield systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Quality Control Plan (QCP) in line with contract requirements.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and surveillance of maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, ICAO, OSHA, DoD, and host‑nation regulations.
• Track performance metrics, KPIs, and corrective actions.
• Support internal and external audits and reporting.
• Review production activities against quality requirements and verify product compliance before use.
• Coordinate disposition of non‑conforming products and materials.
• Investigate customer complaints and deficiency reports, identifying root causes.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by the Action Plan.
• Maintain close relationships with the prime contractor and USG to meet all contractual obligations.

Required profile

• Full‑time professional located in Iraq, able to work onsite in a deployed environment.
• Experience supporting 24/7 aviation operations and maintenance of major equipment.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (FAA, ICAO, OSHA, DoD) and contract compliance.
• Ability to develop quality plans, conduct audits, and manage corrective actions.
