Project Coordinator – South Iraq

About the role

Tearfund is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to lead the delivery of its portfolio within a consortium project in South Iraq. The role focuses on coordinating partner activities, ensuring quality standards, and supporting the implementation of resilience and livelihoods programmes aligned with the organisation’s country strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage Tearfund’s portfolio and partner projects within the consortium.
• Oversee design, assessment, and monitoring of partner activities to meet quality standards.
• Track deliverables against work plans and ensure timely reporting.
• Manage project documentation, budgets, and data for high‑quality reporting.
• Provide training and mentorship to partners on good project practices.
• Support partnership management and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree in Development, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Economics, Business, or a related humanitarian field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, including public‑private partnership management.
• Strong background in resilience and livelihoods programming at strategic and operational levels.
• Proven ability to integrate gender and diversity considerations into programmes.
• Experience with project cycle management, budgeting, reporting, and M&E.
• Prior work with international humanitarian organisations and fluency in Arabic and English.
