Senior AAP Associate – Accountability to Affected People

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Senior Accountability to Affected People (AAP) Associate to support its Monitoring and Evaluation team in Iraq. Working under the Deputy Chief of Mission and the Monitoring and Reporting Officer, the associate will help embed AAP principles throughout the programme cycle and ensure effective two‑way communication with crisis‑affected communities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the M&E Officer in designing and delivering capacity‑building training on AAP, including Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Community‑Based Complaints Mechanism (CBCM) and Communication with Communities (CwC).
• Participate in regular AAP needs assessments and provide recommendations to strengthen the Mission’s CFM.
• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the Mission‑wide CFM, including hotline management, database recording, tracking and timely response to feedback and complaints.
• Coordinate with field M&E teams to ensure alignment of accountability activities with IASC and IOM frameworks.
• Support the preparation of reports and documentation related to AAP activities and outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience in planning and delivering training on humanitarian accountability mechanisms.
• Familiarity with community‑feedback and complaints systems in crisis settings.
• Ability to work closely with programme staff, field teams and partners in a multicultural environment.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills related to monitoring and evaluation.
