Production Technician

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a Production Technician to support oil and gas operations in Basra. The role combines office, field, and laboratory activities to record, analyze, and report production data, helping engineers and geologists optimize well performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist geologists and engineers with electronic, sonic, and nuclear measuring instruments in the field.
• Gather, analyze, and report well and production data, including temperatures, pressures, flow rates, and water cut.
• Prepare monthly performance reports for each producing well and weekly production, activity, and flowback reports.
• Collect formation, mud, and soil samples, conduct laboratory tests, and compile results for analysis.
• Support well optimization, failure analysis, and the preparation of KPI dashboards for new completions, recompletes, and workovers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; an undergraduate degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in production operations within oil and gas.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under direct supervision of a Production Supervisor.
