Procurement Specialist – Kirkuk

About the role

The Procurement Specialist supports daily purchasing activities for Sardar Group of Companies in Kirkuk. The role involves sourcing goods and services, managing quotations, processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery while adhering to company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders according to procedures.
• Obtain and compare quotations from approved vendors to secure best value.
• Follow up on order approvals, vendor confirmations, and delivery timelines.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding product availability, lead times, and delivery status.
• Assist in supplier registration and documentation collection.
• Address routine issues such as product quality, delays, or order discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate procurement files and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
• Update procurement trackers and support cost‑saving initiatives.
• Monitor market price changes and report significant fluctuations.
• Coordinate with warehouse and other departments for timely receipt of items.
• Process returns or exchanges of incorrect or damaged goods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, preferably with international business entities.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for supplier visits and site coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems such as SAP and ODOO.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
