Pricing Agent – Grocery Retail

About the role

The Pricing Agent will support Baly Groceries’ day‑to‑day pricing operations, ensuring that product prices are accurate, competitor data is up‑to‑date, and promotions are implemented on time. You will work closely with the Pricing Senior Specialist and cross‑functional teams to keep pricing information reliable and actionable.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular competitor price checks across supermarkets, grocery stores and online platforms.
• Collect and maintain competitor pricing data at SKU level.
• Update product and promotional prices based on approved decisions.
• Monitor pricing tools for accuracy and flag discrepancies.
• Track supplier cost changes and support updates to pricing files.
• Assist with price index, margin and competitor analysis.
• Maintain pricing trackers, reports and SKU‑level databases.
• Support setup and validation of promotions, discounts and campaigns.
• Flag significant competitor price changes or unusual market movements.
• Coordinate with Category and Operations teams to resolve pricing issues.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in pricing, retail, FMCG, e‑commerce, commercial operations or data‑related roles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organized, proactive and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to conduct field price checks when required.
• Good understanding of the Iraqi retail and grocery market is a plus.
