Petroleum Testing Manager

About the role

T-ALL Inspection Group is seeking a Manager to lead its petroleum product testing operations in Iraq. The role combines technical expertise in laboratory analysis with business development, risk management, and team leadership to support oil and gas clients across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee testing projects for crude oil, refined products, and lubricants, ensuring compliance with ASTM, ISO, and GB standards.
• Maintain laboratory operating procedures, certification requirements (CNAS, CMA, ISO 17025) and HSE policies.
• Analyze market trends, such as new energy impacts and environmental regulations, to adjust service offerings.
• Respond quickly to urgent customer requests, providing customized reports and fast turnaround.
• Coordinate negotiations with oil companies, government agencies, suppliers, and internal technical teams.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity, contract disputes, and compliance.
• Lead and motivate the business team, fostering professionalism and customer‑service awareness.
• Adapt to high‑intensity work environments, including frequent travel and fluctuating oil‑price driven demand.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Analysis, Quality Management, Environmental Science or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as ISO 17025 Internal Auditor, Six Sigma, or PMP are a plus.
• Proficiency in English or Arabic for international client interaction.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ASTM, ISO, and GB testing standards.
• Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and big‑data applications in testing.
• Familiarity with CNAS, CMA laboratory qualifications and ISO 17025 audit processes.
• Understanding of risk management and compliance operations.
