Payroll Specialist - Senior-Level

About the role

The Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll for NASS AL-Iraq Holding Group. You will maintain payroll records, guarantee compliance with local labor laws, and support staff with payroll‑related queries.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly, bi‑weekly or weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including salary changes, deductions, benefits, overtime, bonuses and leave balances.
• Review and verify timesheets, attendance records and payroll inputs.
• Calculate wages, taxes, end‑of‑service benefits and other statutory payments.
• Ensure compliance with Iraqi labor laws, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Prepare payroll reports for management, finance and HR teams.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance on new hires, terminations, promotions and salary adjustments.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries confidentially.
• Support payroll audits by providing accurate documentation.
• Assist in improving payroll processes and system efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven experience in payroll, HR operations, finance or accounting.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in business English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with payroll/HR systems.
