Operations Manager – Power Plant

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead power plant operations to ensure safe, reliable and efficient generation of electricity. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, supporting service delivery across the region and fostering a high‑performance culture within the engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day plant operations, meeting performance and reliability targets.
• Monitor and optimise plant output, coordinate maintenance, commissioning and outage activities.
• Develop and manage a team of engineering professionals, set objectives and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory standards through risk management and reporting.
• Drive HSE initiatives, enforce safety standards and provide performance metrics to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive experience in power plant operations and proven leadership of professional teams.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations, safety standards and quality control processes.
• Demonstrated ability in operational planning, budgeting, forecasting and risk management.
