Logistics Executive

About the role

As the Logistics Executive for FSL’s Baghdad office, you will lead end‑to‑end supply‑chain activities, ensuring food ingredients are cleared, stored and delivered efficiently to customers in Iraq and, when required, to neighboring markets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee transportation of food ingredients, optimise routes and manage carrier relationships to guarantee timely deliveries.
• Develop and refine distribution strategies that reduce lead times and costs.
• Maintain strong vendor and customer relationships to ensure on‑time, cost‑competitive deliveries.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand and plan procurement.
• Handle import documentation, label registrations and obtain necessary permits.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits and implement replenishment plans.
• Continuously review and improve supply‑chain processes to boost efficiency and cut operational expenses.
• Ensure all food ingredients meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations, including 3PL management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
• 5–8 years of proven experience in supply‑chain management within FMCG, pharma, distribution or trading sectors.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics, freight and procurement.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills in Arabic and English.
• Good understanding of trade activities in Iraq.
