Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator will manage end‑to‑end inbound logistics for shipments destined for Iraq, ensuring timely clearance, accurate documentation, and smooth coordination with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Track and follow up on all inbound shipments to Iraqi ports (e.g., Basrah, Baghdad) and guarantee on‑time customs clearance.
• Monitor vessel arrivals, delays, demurrage risks and liaise with customs brokers and transporters.
• Maintain up‑to‑date shipment trackers, documentation sets and weekly operational reports for the UAE office.
• Ensure availability and accuracy of Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, invoices, packing lists and import permits.
• Coordinate warehouse gate‑in/out activities, handle damages and support transport operations.
• Communicate regularly with sales, warehouses, transporters and suppliers, providing escalation handling and resolution.
• Support financial processes by following up on payment documentation, supplier confirmations and monitoring demurrage, storage and penalty costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of two years’ experience in logistics, import/export or customs clearance.
• Experience with Iraq operations is a strong advantage.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems.
• Fluent English with strong communication and negotiation abilities.
