Lecturer

About the role

The University is seeking a full‑time Lecturer to join its academic staff in Erbil. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality teaching, support student research, and contribute to the university’s scholarly activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lectures and seminars.
• Develop and update curriculum materials and assessment tools.
• Guide undergraduate and graduate students in research projects and theses.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor students academically and professionally.
• Participate in departmental research, publish scholarly work and attend conferences.
• Contribute to university development initiatives and committees.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in the relevant academic discipline, preferably with a Master’s degree or Ph.D.
• Demonstrated teaching ability and experience in curriculum development.
• Research experience with a record of publications (preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural academic environment.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Kurdish or Arabic is an advantage.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
