Geophysics Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Geophysics Advisor to join Halliburton’s Integrated Asset Management team in Basra, Iraq. Working within a senior multi‑discipline petrotechnical team, you will develop and apply advanced geophysical techniques to evaluate and develop large, complex oil and gas field projects.

Key responsibilities

• Validate existing seismic interpretations and produce new products such as structure, isochron and anomaly maps, and field‑pay responses.
• Support prospect evaluation and field development by delivering seismic reservoir characterization for both conventional and unconventional plays.
• Collaborate with senior management to define standardized, best‑practice processes for efficient project evaluation and well‑engineering.
• Participate in cross‑functional workshops and foster innovation with Halliburton technical resources and partner companies.
• Peer‑review technical work of local asset team members and ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics.
• Minimum 10 years of geophysics experience, including seismic reservoir characterization, mature field development, and static geological model building.
• Proven management experience in a technical environment.
