Engineering Mentor

About the role

The Engineering Mentor will work full‑time on site in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, supporting engineering students through academic coursework, laboratory work, and extracurricular projects. The role focuses on translating theory into practice, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and helping students develop professional competencies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one and group mentoring sessions for engineering students.
• Organise and lead study groups, workshops, and training sessions.
• Review and provide feedback on student assignments, lab reports, and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with KFESA leadership to design educational activities and events.
• Coordinate with university partners and industry professionals to enhance learning opportunities.
• Maintain documentation of mentoring activities, schedules, and student progress.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in an engineering discipline.
• Experience in academic mentoring, tutoring, teaching, or supervising engineering students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to support project‑based learning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field; advanced study or industry experience is a plus.
• Organisational reliability and commitment to inclusive, student‑centered development.
• Familiarity with the local academic environment in Kurdistan.
