Electrical and Computer Lab Assistant

The American University of ... is looking for a motivated Electrical and Computer Lab Assistant to support laboratory sessions for engineering students. The role ensures labs are safe, well‑organized, and equipped for effective learning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and maintain lab equipment and experiment stations.
• Provide technical support and basic troubleshooting for faculty and students.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and institutional guidelines.
• Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding lab programs and events.
• Handle administrative duties such as phone communications, visitor reception, and information provision.
• Draft, edit, and proofread documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Coordinate procurement of books, equipment, and supplies, maintaining accurate purchase records.
• Organize and maintain files, records, and inventory of lab materials.
• Arrange logistics for meetings, events, and departmental activities, including room bookings.
• Record meeting minutes and follow up on action items as directed.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
