Deputy Area Sales Manager

About the role

The Deputy Area Sales Manager will support the Regional Sales Manager in driving sales growth and expanding ZOOMLION’s presence in the Baghdad market. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and achieving regional sales targets within the construction, heavy machinery, and engineering sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Regional Sales Manager in meeting sales targets and business objectives for the Baghdad region.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and generate new business.
• Identify and pursue potential customers across construction, heavy machinery, and related sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, dealers, contractors, and partners.
• Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow‑up on leads, quotations, and opportunities.
• Provide guidance and support to the sales team to achieve individual and regional targets.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to uncover trends and opportunities.
• Prepare sales forecasts, market reports, and performance updates for management.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver suitable product solutions.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive issue resolution and after‑sales support.
• Perform customer visits, product demonstrations, and negotiate business deals.
• Support marketing activities, promotional campaigns, exhibitions, and customer engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Iraqi nationality is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of sales experience in construction, heavy machinery or engineering equipment.
• Previous senior sales or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business.
• Strong knowledge of the Iraqi market, especially the Baghdad region.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills.
