Content Lead – Groceries

About the role

We are looking for a Content Lead – Groceries to own and elevate the product catalog on the Baly platform. The role will drive the quality, accuracy and scalability of grocery content, supporting rapid assortment growth across Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day Content & Catalog operations for the grocery business.
• Own processes for new SKU creation, product updates and catalog maintenance.
• Ensure product information (names, descriptions, images, brands, sizes, units, attributes, categories, sub‑categories) is complete and accurate.
• Establish and maintain content standards, naming conventions and catalog guidelines.
• Collaborate with Category teams to onboard new products and publish SKUs on time.
• Coordinate with suppliers to collect required product information, images and specifications.
• Manage product categorisation, taxonomy and attribute tagging to improve browsing and discovery.
• Identify and resolve duplicate SKUs, missing content and other catalog quality issues.
• Support new category launches, promotions, campaigns and seasonal activities.
• Build efficient bulk‑SKU creation processes and regular catalog audits.
• Coach and manage the Content team, setting productivity and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in content, catalog management, e‑commerce, retail or marketplace environments.
• Proven experience managing large product/SKU catalogs, preferably in online grocery or quick‑commerce.
• Strong understanding of product taxonomy, categorisation, attributes and customer browsing behaviour.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high data quality.
