Civil Engineer / Inspector (Building Construction)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer / Inspector to join our building construction projects in Iraq. The successful candidate will ensure that all construction activities follow approved drawings, specifications, and relevant inspection standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Monitor construction activities and enforce quality and safety standards.
• Perform material inspections and confirm adherence to approved standards.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to obtain inspection approvals.
• Identify non‑conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Review method statements, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and international construction standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction inspection standards and procedures.
• Experience in site supervision and quality control.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASTM, BS, and ACI.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
