Architect – Design & Project Management

About the role

QMC is seeking a full‑time Architect to join its Basra office. You will lead the creation of innovative architectural designs, develop detailed project plans, and ensure seamless integration of design elements into functional spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to define design concepts and deliverables.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deadlines to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in Iraq.
• Coordinate with engineering, surveying, and construction teams to maintain design consistency and functionality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field (Master’s degree or additional certifications are a plus).
• Proven expertise in architectural design and the ability to produce innovative, functional solutions.
• Strong project‑management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Revit or similar BIM tools.
• Experience using advanced architectural design software.
