Translator / Reviewer (English, Arabic, Kurdish)

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Translator / Reviewer to join our team in Erbil. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality translations and ensuring every document meets our strict standards before it reaches the client.

Key responsibilities

• Translate documents between English, Arabic, and Kurdish.
• Review, edit, and proofread translations produced by other translators.
• Maintain consistency of terminology, style, and formatting across all projects.
• Verify names, dates, numbers, and official details against source documents.
• Perform final quality‑assurance checks and deliver polished, correctly formatted files.
• Build and update translation memories, glossaries, and internal terminology databases.
• Handle urgent and high‑priority assignments as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, English, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Native or near‑native command of Arabic and English, with strong Kurdish (Sorani) skills.
• Previous translation or reviewing experience, especially with legal, immigration, academic, or business documents.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word formatting, including styles, tables, and right‑to‑left layout.
• Familiarity with computer‑assisted translation (CAT) tools such as Trados, memoQ, or Phrase.
