TAR Supervisor – Onsite, Basra, Iraq

About the role

Wood is seeking a TAR Supervisor to join its Iraq Business Unit and support the TAR Lead in delivering a safe and efficient Turnaround (TAR) program for a major on‑shore brownfield project in Basra, Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Support the TAR Lead with the safe and efficient delivery of the TAR program.
• Promote a strong Health, Safety & Environmental culture and lead Toolbox Talks.
• Provide guidance for field execution of TAR scopes, including all types of fixed equipment.
• Manage concurrent activities safely, de‑conflict SIMOPS, and ensure proper coordination with Maintenance, Inspection, Engineering, Operations, and Projects.
• Work with Operations to develop best‑practice procedures for process isolation, de‑pressuring, closed draining, flushing, purging and spading.

Required profile

• Experienced supervisor with a thorough understanding of turnarounds and maintenance in oil & gas facilities.
• Ability to manage multiple activities safely and effectively.
• Strong communication skills across maintenance, engineering, operations and project teams.
• Knowledge of pressure‑vessel repairs is preferred.
