Surface Facilities Project Manager

About the role

Halliburton is seeking an experienced Surface Facilities Project Manager to lead the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of surface facilities for oil field assets in Basra, Iraq. You will work closely with Asset and Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Asset/Project Manager in overseeing all surface facilities activities.
• Manage project phases including FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning, start‑up and abandonment.
• Coordinate design consultants and construction contractors to optimize design and productivity.
• Apply risk management methodologies to identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate risks.
• Track resources, schedule, and costs to keep projects on time and on budget.
• Lead internal coordination meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure environmental studies meet governmental requirements.
• Obtain contractual approvals from the Customer and approve work orders and invoices.
• Review AFE requests and support upper‑management approval processes.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 8 + years of progressive experience in planning, design, construction, and project management of surface facilities in oil fields.
• Strong knowledge of project management control systems, scheduling, cost estimating, change orders, MoC processes, and reporting.
