Strategic Portfolio Manager – Pharma

About the role

As a member of the Portfolio Strategy team, the Portfolio Manager drives the strategic direction and optimisation of Julphar’s product portfolio, aligning it with long‑term business goals and market trends. The role works closely with commercial portfolio managers and other stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and advance high‑impact pipeline products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement long‑term portfolio plans, adjust them based on market trends, and create country‑specific product strategies.
• Conduct advanced market analysis, monitor competitor activity, and provide strategic recommendations for portfolio expansion and diversification.
• Lead cross‑functional projects, manage high‑impact initiatives, and ensure alignment with executive stakeholders.
• Track portfolio performance against strategic KPIs, produce regular reports for senior management, and identify areas for improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in medicine, pharmacy or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in strategic pharmaceutical portfolio management or similar strategic roles.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics, regulatory requirements and MENA market access strategies.
• Results‑oriented with proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple complex projects.
