Senior Project Engineer

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer will lead the technical execution of upstream and downstream oil & gas projects from design through commissioning across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The role ensures compliance with safety standards, budgets and schedules while acting as the central technical liaison between multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complete proposal packages including scope of work, estimates, schedules and CTRs for project kickoff.
• Manage project interfaces, capture all relevant information and define brownfield integration and greenfield boundaries.
• Handle technical queries and bid clarifications during engineering phases.
• Control cost, schedule and delivery throughout engineering and procurement.
• Lead technical bid evaluation and produce evaluation reports.
• Coordinate and participate in safety, design and constructability reviews.
• Ensure zero‑defect delivery, strict adherence to project procedures and quality standards.
• Develop work order structures, WBS, baseline schedules and weekly project dashboards.
• Drive change management and ensure timely approval of variations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience, including project execution in oil & gas.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas engineering standards, HSE regulations and construction practices.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary projects from FEED through detailed engineering.
