Senior Manager, Risk Consulting – Financial Crime Compliance

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Financial Services Risk Management practice in Baghdad. The role focuses on Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) and helps leading banks, insurers and asset managers navigate complex regulatory environments while strengthening their capital and risk management capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic sourcing and advisory services on regulatory compliance, FCC, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, internal controls and internal audit for financial‑services clients.
• Assist organisations in maintaining effective controls and managing strategic and operational risks.
• Develop and deliver FCC advisory solutions, including target operating models, business processes and control frameworks that meet regulatory requirements without compromising customer experience.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on financial‑crime and compliance matters, building strong relationships and supporting pipeline development.
• Identify and originate new business opportunities, lead proposal development and deliver client presentations.
• Lead and manage complex engagements related to regulatory compliance and financial‑crime risk.

Required profile

• Proven experience within a Big‑Four professional services firm, preferably in risk or compliance advisory.
• Strong technical expertise and business insight in financial‑crime compliance and regulatory risk.
• Excellent understanding of economic and market issues and their impact on clients.
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor and key contact for clients on FCC matters.
• Demonstrated commercial judgment and capability to develop new business.
