Section Manager – Retail (Baghdad/Karbala/Kut)

About the role

DeFacto is looking for a dynamic Section Manager to lead its retail operations across Baghdad, Karbala and Kut. You will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining visual merchandising standards in a fast‑fashion environment.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets and monitor KPIs, sales trends and product performance.
• Ensure high‑quality customer experience and service standards at all times.
• Conduct product and sales analysis, implementing actions to improve store performance.
• Collaborate with Merchandising and Area Management to maximise commercial opportunities.
• Oversee store operations, including product deliveries, transfers, returns, stock management and expense control.
• Maintain compliance with audit requirements, cash management and financial reporting.
• Uphold visual merchandising standards and work with the Visual Merchandising team to present the right product at the right time.
• Lead, coach and develop store teams, conduct regular meetings and foster a positive work environment.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Good command of English.
• Strong commercial and international retail experience (minimum 3 years in fast‑fashion).
• Experience in visual merchandising, stock management and customer experience.
• Team‑oriented, energetic and dynamic personality.
• Excellent communication, persuasive and result‑oriented attitude.
• Strong planning, organisation, problem‑solving and analytical skills.
