Regional Medical Advisor – Field (Iraq)

About the role

The Regional Medical Advisor – Field will join Novo Nordisk’s Cardiometabolic team to bridge scientific innovation with healthcare professionals and digital opinion leaders across Iraq. You will shape cardiometabolic care by delivering medical education, fostering relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and digital opinion leaders (DOLs), and translating real‑time insights into actionable strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute medical education activities, including congress symposia, scientific events, speaker development, and publication support.
• Deliver scientific information to HCPs and experts, align engagements with the brand calendar, and respond to medical information requests.
• Own one‑to‑one digital scientific engagement with DOLs, tailoring content to platform dynamics and activating them around key data moments.
• Translate complex clinical evidence into clear, compliant scientific narratives for digital channels.
• Gather and synthesize insights from digital interactions, DOL activity, and competitor intelligence to inform medical and marketing strategies.
• Assess local cardiometabolic standards of care, identify gaps, and support pathway improvements in screening, diagnosis, referral, and access.
• Provide internal medical training to sales, access, and cross‑functional teams.
• Support medical readiness across the product lifecycle, coordinating planning meetings and capability‑building initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong scientific background in cardiometabolic diseases.
• Experience in medical affairs, medical education, and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with KOLs and DOLs.
• Excellent communication skills for translating scientific data into digital formats.
