Quality Supervisor – 6‑month contract in Basra, Iraq

About the role

Wood is seeking a Quality Supervisor for a six‑month fixed‑term assignment supporting the quality management system of an onshore/nearshore oil & gas facility in Basra, Iraq. The role is full‑time, office‑based with occasional travel, and focuses on applying quality principles to improve project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support the application of quality principles, systems and measures across the project.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with company policy and industry standards.
• Drive delivery efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction and reduce rework and potential risks.
• Collaborate with on‑site teams and provide quality oversight for the oil & gas facility.
• Coordinate travel as required to support project activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a quality supervision or lead role within the oil & gas sector.
• Ability to work on‑site in Basra and handle occasional travel.
• Strong understanding of quality management principles and standards.
