Quality Inspector (Facilities O&M)

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Quality Inspector to implement inspection procedures across all areas of the project. The Quality Control department works independently so that issues with specifications or craftsmanship can be escalated to corporate management when they cannot be resolved at project level. The role involves site inspections, audits and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections and audits at the job site, using contractual requirements and applicable standards through verification, inspection, validation and observation.
• Prepare audit and inspection templates and checklists based on contract and project requirements.
• Audit operation and maintenance scope of work, and document results, corrective and preventive actions accurately.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions and verify compliance with contracts and project specifications.
• Collect data on operation and maintenance work, analyse trends and prepare reports for management.
• Maintain audit schedules and calendars, and travel to all DOS OMSS sites if necessary.
• Promote a quality culture, ensure efficient use of time and equipment, and perform additional project duties assigned.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in facilities equipment and systems operation and maintenance (O&M), particularly HVAC, electrical and water treatment, and three years in quality assurance or quality control, or a similar role.
• Experience working in hot, dusty environments.
• Fluent Arabic and English, written and spoken.
• Favorable RSO security vetting and a favorable drug screen and medical examination.
• Desired: secondary education at minimum, QA/QC or O&M credentials, experience with Amentum, overseas liaison experience and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Required skills

• Advanced ability to visually inspect materials, equipment, tools, operational areas and documentation against standards.
• Ability to read and apply contracts, standards, specifications, regulations and technical procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; knowledge of PBi desired.
• Good oral and written presentation skills, organization and teamwork abilities.
