Quality Controller – Automotive Service

About the role

The Quality Controller ensures that all automotive service and body‑shop work meets dealership procedures and manufacturer specifications. By conducting systematic inspections, the role helps minimise repeat repairs, boost customer satisfaction and support operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform final quality inspections on vehicles after mechanical, diagnostic, body, paint, polishing, detailing and accessory work.
• Verify that repairs align with job cards, manufacturer procedures and dealership standards.
• Identify workmanship issues, missing items, cosmetic defects or safety concerns and report them for corrective action.
• Coordinate with technicians, body‑shop staff, supervisors and service advisors to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct road tests or functional checks when required to validate repair effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, checklists and documentation in company systems.
• Support warranty compliance and ensure repaired parts meet manufacturer warranty conditions.
• Participate in internal audits, workshop evaluations and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in automotive workshops, dealerships, service centres or body‑shop operations.
• Strong understanding of vehicle repair procedures, diagnostics and automotive quality standards.
• Ability to identify technical defects and evaluate repair quality effectively.
• Familiarity with workshop management systems and inspection documentation.
• Knowledge of safety standards and warranty procedures within the automotive sector.
