Plant Manager - PP Woven Bag Manufacturing

About the role

An established industrial manufacturer is looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead its PP woven bag manufacturing operations. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee production, maintenance, quality, HSE, workforce management, budgets and operational improvement, with a focus on efficiency, product quality, reliability and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end plant operations, including PP tape extrusion, weaving, lamination, printing, cutting, stitching and finished goods production, as applicable.
• Develop and execute production plans to meet monthly output targets, optimise capacity utilisation and deliver on time.
• Improve OEE, machine availability, production yields, labour productivity and manufacturing cost per kilogram.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise breakdowns and unplanned downtime.
• Maintain quality control, HSE and operational standards to reduce defects, wastage and incidents.
• Manage plant budgets, raw material consumption, energy efficiency, suppliers, manpower and manufacturing profitability.
• Drive continuous improvement in process, waste, cost, workforce capability and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical/Polymer or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline, preferred.
• 10-15+ years of industrial manufacturing experience, preferably at least 10 years in PP woven bags or similar plastics manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing plant operations covering production, maintenance, quality, safety, manpower and budgets.
• Strong leadership of multidisciplinary plant teams and proven ability to improve manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, waste percentage, cost/kg and energy consumption.
