About the role
Join Cherokee Federal to provide primary, urgent and emergency medical care for U.S. government operations in Iraq. You will work in Mission Iraq facilities in Baghdad and Erbil, delivering first‑contact care, stabilizing patients and coordinating evacuations.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments, physical examinations and diagnosis of acute and chronic conditions.
- Provide treatment, health promotion, disease prevention, vaccinations and STD testing.
- Stabilize patients and arrange hand‑off or evacuation to higher‑level care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals across surgical, orthopedic, neurological, gynecological, radiological, critical‑care and mental‑health domains.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with U.S. government medical protocols.
Required profile
- U.S. citizenship with a valid U.S. passport.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Current professional licensure and certifications.
- Ability to obtain or hold a Secret security clearance.
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required.
