Physical Therapist

About the role

This full-time, on-site position in Sulaymaniyah involves providing evidence-based assessment and treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental needs. The Physical Therapist will focus on improving motor skills, functional mobility, coordination and overall physical independence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct standardized evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver one-to-one and group therapy sessions targeting motor and functional skills.
• Collaborate closely with ABA therapists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists and families.
• Document clinical progress and contribute to interdisciplinary case discussions.
• Participate in readiness programs that support children’s integration into education and community settings.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and support training initiatives for local staff.

Required profile

• Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Physical Therapy (or equivalent) with current licensure or eligibility.
• Experience working with children with ASD or other developmental disorders, preferably in an interdisciplinary clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric neurodevelopmental conditions and rehabilitation principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team with excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills.
• Commitment to ethical care, continuous learning and alignment with international quality standards; additional pediatric or neurodevelopmental certifications are a plus.
