Payment Operations Specialist - Merchant Onboarding

About the role

The Payment Operations Specialist will manage the full lifecycle of merchant accounts on our payment gateway platform. You will configure merchant settings, monitor system performance, and provide data‑driven reporting to ensure platform stability and high merchant satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Create and configure merchants on the payment gateway portal, including MID setup, payment methods, 3DS, pricing, and operational parameters.
• Provide prompt, detailed support via phone and email to resolve technical issues such as payment failures, configuration errors, and system bugs.
• Validate transaction flows (authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, recurring payments) and conduct end‑to‑end testing of integrations.
• Monitor onboarding progress, enforce SLA compliance, and generate performance reports for merchants and the gateway.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Finance teams to resolve issues and improve onboarding processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in payments, fintech, merchant onboarding, or technical integration.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
