Paramedic / Lead Paramedic – Emergency Response & EMS Training

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paramedic or Lead Paramedic to provide emergency medical response, ambulance operations, and EMS training for U.S. government medical missions in Iraq. The position supports both the Baghdad Embassy Compound and Erbil sites, ensuring rapid ALS response and readiness for mass‑casualty incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical response and ambulance transportation within the Baghdad Embassy Compound.
• Achieve ALS arrival within eight minutes 90% of the time.
• Participate in MASCAL exercises and support readiness.
• Conduct medical skills verification, cognitive testing, and psychomotor validation for DSSC personnel.
• Develop and deliver continuing‑education activities and protocol training.
• Track EMS training completion, certifications, and monthly reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Paramedic or Lead Paramedic.
• Demonstrated knowledge of EMS quality‑assurance, continuing medical education, and skills assessment for EMT‑Intermediate‑85 level or higher.
• Current, verified paramedic/EMT licenses and certifications.
• U.S. citizenship with an active passport; ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to work >10 hours per shift, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.
