Operations Advisor

About the role

As an Operations Advisor you will lead safe and compliant operations at a hydrocarbon site, acting as the key interface between the ROO Operations team and field activities. You will focus on safety leadership, operational discipline and coaching to drive reliable performance and workforce development.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture, manage incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and coach teams to support nationalisation plans.
• Oversee risk management and operating discipline including Management of Change, engineering queries, risk assessments, plant hand‑over, Control of Work compliance and stop‑work authority.
• Lead by example to embed ROO values, develop national staff, ensure HR compliance, motivate the team and manage performance.
• Monitor daily plant and well performance, support optimisation, maintenance planning, vulnerability management and continuous improvement while staying within design limits.
• Coordinate with site leadership, operations line, maintenance advisors, permit authorities and cross‑functional teams for integrated planning and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years hydrocarbon operations experience, including 5+ years in supervisory roles.
• Strong HSE knowledge and mastery of Control of Work systems.
• Proven ability to work independently with integrity and to coach and lead multicultural teams.
• Ongoing professional development and experience in diverse, multicultural environments preferred.
