Mechanical Inspector

About the role

Bureau Veritas Iraq is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join its on‑site team in Basra. The role involves performing mechanical inspections, ensuring quality control and quality assurance, and applying mechanical engineering principles on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical inspections on equipment and structures.
• Implement and monitor quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Apply mechanical engineering knowledge to assess compliance with standards.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to verify workmanship.
• Prepare clear inspection reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical inspection or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• BGAS Level II or CSWIP 3.1 certified inspector.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.
