Mechanical Engineer (Rotating)

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in rotating equipment to lead preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, and support major shutdowns across our facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and repair on rotating mechanical equipment.
• Assist in supervising technicians, assign work, and mentor junior staff.
• Conduct advanced diagnostic testing, function testing, and equipment readiness verification.
• Interpret mechanical schematics, drawings, and prints to identify correct parts and procure spares.
• Maintain accurate data entry in Halliburton’s Management System (HMS).
• Provide technical support for vibration, lubrication, and control systems.
• Participate in budget development, expenditure analysis, and ensure compliance.
• Advise on and execute plans for major shutdowns, construction, and equipment start‑up.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience; 10 years preferred, especially in oil & gas operations.
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor technical staff.
• Experience with budgeting and cost analysis for mechanical maintenance.
